Maya’s Minute: Volume 1
Written: August 31, 2026
A Note from Amanda
Maya is the friend who always has a messy bun and a heart of gold. She’s the “Heart-Centered Multitasker” who bought her kit during a late-night scrolling session, and today, she’s showing us how she fits “Legacy” into a schedule that’s already bursting at the seams.
The 11:30 PM Purchase: Why I Finally Hit “Buy Now”
By: Maya Hayes
Okay, I’ll be 100% honest—I was totally influenced! I was scrolling Instagram at 11:30 PM (you know, that “golden hour” after the kids finally fall asleep but before my own brain shuts off), and I saw a post about the First Day of Kindergarten prompt.
I looked at my youngest sleeping on the baby monitor and just lost it. Between the carpools, the endless laundry, and my 6:00 AM HIIT class, I realized I’m so busy managing their lives that I’m forgetting to document them.
Capture the “Now” Before it’s “Then”
My “Why” is simple: I’m terrified of forgetting the small, magical things. Like how my son currently wants to be a “dragon-doctor” or the way my daughter mispronounces “stegosaurus.”
How I’m making it work (The Maya Method):
- The Stanley Cup Rule: If I have time to refill my water, I have time to write three sentences.
- Progress over Perfection: I missed the “First Lost Tooth” letter by three weeks. Did I cry? Yes. Did I write it today and backdate it? Also yes!
- The “Dragon-Doctor” Note: I’m not writing novels. I’m just capturing the “now.”
Mama, if you’re waiting for your house to be clean to start this… you’ll be waiting until they’re 30. Just start today! ❤
